11th June, 2021: Online National Workshop on Manipuri Culture in Global Context organized jointly with Manipur Folkloristics
A Seven Day Online National Workshop on “Manipuri Culture in Global Context” was organized jointly by the College and Manipur Folkloristics (Centre for Studies in Manipur Folklore), Imphal from June 11 to 17, 2021. The whole arrangement and conduct of the workshop was carried out by an organizing committee comprising the chief functionaries of both the institutions. Dr. Mangangcha Thoudam Achou, senior Assistant Professor (Manipuri Department) of the college was the Convener. Every of the seven days had two sessions- 11 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., thereby totaling 14 sessions. The first and the last sessions were meant for inaugural function and valedictory. There were Resource Persons, Moderators, Paper Presenters and Delegates in the academic events. Professionals from different colleges and universities including research scholars, totaling more than one hundred were present in the online workshop, although only 54 persons were registered formally. Ultimately, the WhatsApp Group participants increased to 82. More than twenty papers on different aspects of Manipuri culture, including those the resource persons, were presented.

July 12, 2021: Faculty Training Programme on MOODLE held
A 3-Day online training programme on MOODLE from 1 to 2p.m. ended. Dr. M. Phalguni Singh of Chemistry Dept. was the Master Trainer who had received training conducted by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Manipur from 30th June to 2nd July, 2021. Altogether 63 teachers participated in the 1st day, 58 in 2nd day and 60 in 3rd day out of 67 teaching staff. All the teacher participants were actively involved in the training sessions and were eager to master and apply in the teaching-learning activity as the LMS platform is found to be comprehensive, dynamic and more useful than others. A close consultation and interaction sessions, with the Master Trainer in respect of Science and the IT Consultant in respect of Arts, were arranged in the School level where every Department could get one or two of its teachers started online teaching in the MOODLE platform. The objective of this strategy was to create Master Trainer for every Department so that each and every teacher could comprehend and use the LMS platform.

November 13, 2021: National Seminar on Radiation Safety & Regulatory Aspects held
As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence, the Department of Physics, Oriental College and Study Forum for Advanced Technology (SFAT, India), NE Region jointly organised a national seminar on ‘Radiation Safety & Regulatory Aspects in Peaceful Use of Atomic Energy’ in the Conference Hall of the college with Dr. S. Ranjit Singh (Principal) as Chief Guest, Smt. Ksh. Satyabala Devi (HoD, Physics) as President, Dr. A. Nabachandra Singh (Principal, D.M. College of Commerce & Controller of Exams, DM University), Shri L. Mani Singh (Coordinator, IQAC & Dean of Science, Oriental College), Shri H. Ibomcha Singh (Controller of Exams, Oriental College) and Dr. T. Dewan Singh (Scientific Officer, AERB, Mumbai & Regional Chairman, SFAT, India) as Guests of Honour respectively in the dais. The objective of the seminar was to disseminate the knowledge of how radiation can be used in the society safely following the regulations of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board of the country.
The Technical Session comprised Invited Talks of Dr. B. Arunkumar Sharma (Department of Radiation Oncology, RIMS, Imphal), Dr. A. Nabachandra Singh (Principal, D.M. College of Commerce & Controller of Exams, DM University) and Dr. T. Dewan Singh (Scientific Officer, AERB, Mumbai & NE Regional Chairman, SFAT, India) and Paper Presentations from the delegates.

March 7, 2022: Industrial Motivation Campaign for Youths organised
A “One Day Industrial Motivation Campaign for Youths on Medicinal & Aromatic Plants and Prospects of Entrepreneurship- Role of MSME Technology Centre, Imphal” was organised jointly by MSME Technology Centre, Imphal and the Department of Botany in the Conference Hall of the College. In the programme, the Deputy Director of MSME Technology Centre, Imphal Dr. Sinam Yoirentomba led the campaign and gave an exhaustive lecture cum demonstration on the prospects of medium, small and micro industries based on medicinal and aromatic plants available in the local biosphere of Manipur. The development of this kind of industries will induce plantation farming of medicinal plants. Start-up ideas and technological support will also be available from the MSME. After the speech of the resource person, there was as interaction programme with the students and teacher participants. Altogether 22 teachers and 47 students participated in the programme.
- With the objective of creating an innovative ecosystem in the institution, the World Creativity & Innovation Day was organised on April 21, 2022 by the Department of Manipuri in association with IQAC of the college incorporating a programme on “Awareness Cum Demonstration of Food Preparation” with Yumnam (O) Henarita Devi, the Proprietor of Yum Ngamok,
The Coordinator, IQAC gave the key-note address focussing on the objectives of organising the World Creativity & Innovation Day, the importance of developing creative idea and innovative quality in life and getting jobs. He also explained the present conception of creativity and innovation and the need for developing an innovative behaviour among all staff and students in the institution.
In the demonstration session, the Proprietor of Yum Ngamok industry, Yumnam Henarita Devi showed a live preparation of fish and chicken fried pickles demonstrating her entrepreneur as the result of creative and innovative practice to the students present. She offered taste of the Ngamok and the participants were surprised of it. During and after her demonstration, there were hectic interactions from the participants. 45 students and 14 teachers were present.

April 29, 2022: State Level Workshop cum Faculty Development Programme conducted
As proposed by the Research Guidance & Extension Cell of the college, State Level Workshop cum Faculty Development Programme on Code of Ethics in Research Work, Research Publication and Project Implementation was organised by the IQAC with Prof. Sh. Dorendrajit Singh of Manipur University, Imphal as resource person. The programme was attended by 54 teachers from within and outside the college. The teachers were greatly benefitted by the lecture of the resource person and in the interaction followed.
